Oops...!

Yesterday I rented a car. And yes, again it was a funny reminder of the car I bought here in 2005. An in and out red Ford Taurus. And now I rented a bright red car, the only red car in the parking lot... 🤣 (I'll add a photo of my old car to the photos). It was really nice to drive in the US again. In the beginning I had to get used to it for a bit. "Where are the trafic lights?" Oh yeah, they're across the street. "Am I really allowed to turn on red here, if there is no sign?" Oh yes, I am. So I drove from Jersey City to the Woodbury outlet mall in New York State..! Driving in NJ and NY, I passed Hackensack. That reminded me of working as a drama therapy intern at the Hospital in Hackensack. I've learned there so much.

Okay, I bought way, way, way too much... Of course most of it for the kids. Buying off my guilt..! Didn't work, because now I feel guilty that I bought so much... Ah well, they're gonna like it anyway. 🙄

Now, it's time to say goodbye again... I'm leaving for the city today, to stay at the YMCA! I've had such an amazing time in JC, with the family. They are the most amazing, generous, loving, nice and kind family. I'm really thankful for the time with them. And I'm so glad I'm kind of part of the family. Luckily, it's not a long goodbye, I'll see them in November when they are in the Netherlands! 🥰

My last stop in NJ is the Cheesecake Factory! Of course I have to go there, can't leave NJ without going to the Cheesecake factory! 😁
